PBM POINTS Races July 5th and 6th
|
3 Day Sportsman Spectacular JULY 4th, 5th and 6th
“Family Fun the 4th of July at the Farm” will be the headline next week JULY 4th,5th and 6th, in the annual Sportsman Spectacular at Farmington Dragway. Three BIG days of racing for TOP Eliminator, Foot Brake, Junior Dragsters, Super Street and Motorcycles, along with “FIREWORKS” and “KIDS DAY” will be on hand at Farmington over the 4th weekend.
Saturday July 5th and Sunday, July 6th will be “official” PBM Performance/Trailers of the East Coast POINTS RACES.
Everything gets started off early on Thursday night, July 3rd, with a special “Test-N-Tune” Fun and Grudge runs open to everyone. Then the racing gets kicked of on Friday, July 4th with the first $2,500.00 up for grabs in Calico TOP Eliminator and $1,500.00 to win in PBM Foot Brake races. Horton Leads Team Mopar to Win Over the World Cars and Holbook

Horton, Larkins, Stevens, Davis, Robbins and Marlow All Score Wins
More new winner’s join the ranks this past Saturday night in PBM Performance/Trailers of the East Coast Race Series action at Farmington Dragway.
Young gun Rusty Larkins of Kernersville, NC scored his first Calico Coatings TOP Eliminator win by defeating regaining champion Tommy Plott of Winston-Salem, NC. Larkins driving his Nesbitt Racing Engines/Race Tech Dragster used a better reaction time and ran a 4.70 ET at 140 MPH to hold off the 4.79 ET at 136 MPH charge of Plott in his Beal Racing Engines/Race Tech Dragster. The former three time Calico’s Champion Plott currently leads the standings over semi-finalist finisher Kenny Washburn of Reidsville, NC in his Robert Baynes owned Race Tech Dragster.

New Winner’s Headline Memorial Day Weekend at the Farm

Brinsfield, King, Alexander, Vogler, Jr., Buckner and Payne All Post Wins Saturday
Two big days of PBM Performance/ Trailers of the East Coast race series action was completed this past Memorial Day weekend at Farmington Dragway.
Taking the Quick 8/Pro Mod division win was Dale Brinsfield of Summerfield, NC driving Jerry Williams’ 2008 Ford Mustang from Pfafftown, NC. The veteran Brinsfield turn the all concrete 1/8th in 4.06 seconds at 183 MPH to out distance 2006 Quick 8 champion Randy Weatherford of Providence, NC driving his WS Construction 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. Brinsfield also set low ET of the race with a 4.03 ET at 184 MPH in the 700 plus Fulton powered JW Motorsports Ford. Steve Vick of Mocksville, NC and Buzz Varner of Graham, NC in Don Plemmons’ Corvette were semi-finalist.

First time winner’s and finalist headlined the racing action this past weekend at Farmington Dragway in the PBM Performance/ Trailers of the East Coast race series.
Veteran Calico Coatings Top Eliminator racer Tommy Plott of Winston-Salem, NC picked up his second win of the season this past Saturday night, May 17th, at Farmington Dragway. Plott drove his Beal Racing Engines/Hank Thomas Perf. /Old Town Auto Parts Race Tech Dragster to the Calico Coatings TOP Eliminator win over first time finalist Michael Paschal of Pleasant Garden, NC in his Paschal Windows & Siding Ford Falcon. The former three time champion Plott used a .004 reaction time and ran a 4.77 ET at 142 MPH to hold off the high school student Paschal for the win. Garner, Horton, Lowe and Drake Take Mopar “Fun Run” Victories
May 10, 2008 - A large crowd of Mopar Show and Race Cars was on hand today for the 23rd annual running of the Piedmont Mopar Club “Fun Run” at Farmington Dragway.
Wil Garner of Hamptonville, NC defended his Mopar “Fun Run” TOP Eliminator title by defeating Scott Macy of Randleman, NC. Garner in his small powered Mopar Dragster ran a 5.64 ET at 119 MPH to hold off foot braker Macy’s Dodge Cornet for his second TOP Mopar title. 2007 IHRA D-9 Stock champion Macy ran a 6.59 ET at 103 MPH runner-up time. Charles Cook of Boone, NC in his Plymouth Arrow was the semi-finalist.
It was an all Mark Dudley Performance Foot Brake finals in the Mod ET “Foot Brake” division.
