New to the schedule will be the Ice Breakers “FREE RACE” coming up Saturday, February 20th, with $15.00 covering your race entry in TOP Eliminator and Foot Brake. Spring Fling Quick 8 Pro Tree Madness “Easter Saturday”, April 3rd, featuring Quick 8 Pro Mods, 4 tenths TOP Eliminator, 5 tenths Foot Brake, Street and Junior Dragster. Plus special activates for the Kids on Easter Saturday.

for all your information. If you are interested in doing this class you will need to call Sandy at 336-465-1018 and sign up. He will be taking 16 top , 16 footbrake and 16 class only. 16 class only $150 16 Top and 16 Footbrake $300. When you sign up then you will mail 1/2 of the payment to DP Racing PO BOX 570 Clemmons NC 27012. Payment must arrive 4 days after you sign up. If we do not receive the payment in that time frame we will drop your name from the list. I will call you as soon as I receive your check just to confirm everything. Your first day of class you will bring the other 1/2 of your money. If you have questions about the school please call Scotty at 615-804-2487.

Farmington Dragway hosted its annual Awards Banquet this past Saturday night at the Village Inn in Clemmons, NC saluting the 2009 Farm Race Series and IHRA Team Finals champions. A super time was had by young and old as everyone got a kick out of the “Let’s Make a Greasy Deal” game. Poor Lloyd Houser who won the glossy photo of Shane…lol Thanks to everyone that played along. Also hats off to “Bad Brad” and his help with the slide and music presented at the years banquet. We hope everyone had a blast as “Twinkle Toes” Tutterow was ready to dance all night.

Farmington Blessed With Great Weather and Racing @ Moneyfest '09

Steven Whisnant, Cameron Manuel, Tommy Strickland, Tommy Plott and Chuck Martin All Post Thanksgiving Moneyfest Wins
Farmington Dragway was blessed with four great days of weather for its 16th annual Thanksgiving Moneyfest 09. Taking home the big “Turkey Day” win on Thursday was Steven Whisnant of Dallas, NC in his small powered Dragster over Damien Melton from Timberlake, NC in his big block powered Dragster.
Whisnant clicked off a .001 reaction to Melton’s .010 light to take his .009 advantage to stripe for the win,
The Whisnant Family Dragster ran a 5.358 ET on a 5.35 dn @129 MPH to young Melton’s 4.798 ET off a 4.79 dn 142 MPH run. 2.5k Semi-finalist were Vance Houston of Spruce Pine, NC and Jack Trussell of Sumerduck, NC.

Cool Hand” Luke Eggers Takes Junior Dragster Shootout Title Over “T-Berry” Tia Tutterow
Over fifty Junior Dragster competitors returned to the Farmington Dragway this past Saturday, for the rescheduled Junior Dragster Shootout. Taking the overall “Grand Champion” Shootout win was Jefferson, NC’s Luke Eggers over Lewisville. NC’s Tia Tutterow. Luke,the TOP Elim. Class winner, advance to the finals by defeating former Shootout champion Denver Cole Maltba of Newland, NC, the Second Chance class winner. Maltba was -.001ths red on the start to Eggers green light start, with both drivers going dead-on their dial-ins (Eggers 8.63 ET on a 8.63dn/ Maltba 7.90 ET on a 7.90dn).
